Full SMATV UHF upgrade from the aerial headend, into more than 20 rooms. While this was a UHF upgrade, provision was also made for satellite (Sky) to be added at a later date. This project took around 12 hours to complete and required the reuse of existing cabling, with a total equipment overhaul, allowing perfect reception of Freeview in all guest rooms and staff quarters.
Mountain View Rest Home - Kawerau
Our work here is ongoing, having taken over maintenance from a previous company. We have run new trunking and connected to the existing TV distribution system to accommodate a new residents wing. We recently installed a new UHF aerial to provide for the new conference centre and nurses staff room, raising the possibility of future expansion throughout the home as/when the need arises.

Full satellite installation, from the dish to 12 guest rooms and 6 TVs in the lounge bar and a guest TV room upstairs.
The 12 guest rooms have full, independent access to Freeview channels, while Sky is reticulated to all the lounge bar TVs and a TV for guests upstairs. This install took approximately 25 hours in total, which included wiring each outlet in tight spaces.
We were contracted to upgrade the motel's SMATV system. They opted for an analogue system catering for 10 Freeview channels. We reused the existing dish, trunking and unit wiring as it was all up to standard. Installation of the new distribution system went well and with testing, the total time onsite came to around 16 hours.
As part of their new build programme, we were contracted to install 16 satellite dishes, cabling and Freeview boxes into each unit.
The job took around 40 hours in total to complete and test.
